Overview:

The Jack-up Rig is one of the main welding parts for the whole platform, which plays a decisive role in the platform serving life.The Jack-up rig base metal are high strength low alloy steels of Y.S. 100KSI grade with the thickness up to 200mm. It requires 100% NDT, minimum deformation and good mechanical properties at low temperature. LINCOLN ELECTRIC® has full range of high strength steel consumables, such as stick electrode, MIG & TIG wires, flux cored wires and submerged consumables.

Welding Requirements:

The Jack-up leg base materials are high strength low alloy steels up to Y.S. 100KSI grade, thickness can reach 200mm. 100% NDT, minimum deformation and good mechanical properties at low temperature. Manufacturing rules conform to AWS D1.1, ABS MODU or DNV OS-C401.

Thickness: 100mm-180mm; Tensile (Traverse) ≥770Mpa; -40°C or -60 ℃ low-temperature impact energy (upper surface and base) ≥69J
