Lincoln Electric made the Baoshan facility, now Shanghai Lincoln Electric Company, its flagship operation in China with continuing expansion of flux cored wire production, the addition of welding machine manufacturing, the opening of the Asia Pacific headquarters and the Welding Technology Center. All of Shanghai Lincoln Electrics activities operate under ISO9001:2000 quality certification issued by American Bureau of Shipping. Shanghai Lincoln Electrics consumables operations and quality systems are also JIS certified by Japan Quality Authority (JQA). The Automation (Robotics) Division was opened in 2006 to manufacture and integrate complete robotic welding systems with highly trained automation engineers available for customer consultation and support. The Welding Technology Center provides training, technical advice, customer support services, and product development services for Lincoln Electric and its customers throughout the Asia Pacific region.
