POSITIONS REPORTING :
 
   
1. POSITION SUMMARY :  

Circuit Design Engineer is responsible for the design and optimization of control circuit for welding machine. He/she will work with international team to conduct new product introduction, part qualification and supplier audit. He/she will also provide technical support to other departments inside the company.


 
2. RESPONSIBILITIES :  

Short statements of what the person is actually required to do, not how, not why, just what.
You will note that there is one mandatory responsibility that must always be included


1) Rich experience in C / C++ programming
2) Rich experience in embedded system development and debugging
3) Familiar with general purpose MCU peripheral control circuit

4) Rich experience in DSP control system development. Experience in TI DSP preferred.

5) Good command of test instrument in lab, like signal generator, oscilloscope, multi-meter, et al.

4. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :

Formal qualifications:

Relevant Trade / Tertiary / Post Grad qualifications (the sentence should end with “…… or equivalent”. Qualifications relevant to the product, process or the management of technically qualified people.

 

Experience:

either by product, process, industry. Do not use a specific number of years – the amount of experience should be somewhere between “exposure to …..” and ……”significant”.


 

Skills:

• Technical – if there is a specific definable skill, then list it, otherwise leave it to qualifications and experience.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• The ability to read / work with technical drawings.

• Excellent knowledge of the (welding) industry or material behaviour characteristics.
• Provide technical advice, service and support to internal and external customers.
• Anticipate long term opportunities / identify business needs, generate ideas.

Well developed communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Specifically, to advise, coach and take action on production or performance issues which impact on product quality or productivity.
• Specifically, to participate in the recruitment, training, development and discipline processes.
• Specifically, to write technical / procedural documentation for internal or external use.
